    Peter Stephens has taught ninth grade English for thirteen years and dual-enrollment college composition classes for the two years Heritage has offered them. He also taught AP Language and Composition at Stone Bridge High School. Before teaching, Mr. Stephens was a trial lawyer in Fairfax County for sixteen years and a church worker for six years. Mr. Stephens is also a teacher consultant through the Northern Virginia Writing Project and an adjunct professor at Northern Virginia Community College. His wife teaches Montessori Elementary school, and both of their children graduated from Loudoun County Public Schools.

Resources include a summary of each class session's activities, electronic copies of all handouts, and a link to choose a day and time for students to meet with Mr. Stephens outside of class. Mr. Stephens will post homework and other assignments, and they will be tied into each student's Google Calendar. While parents and guardians can't log into our Google Classroom, they can receive email summaries known as Guardian access. Guardian email summaries include:
    • Upcoming work—Work that’s due today and tomorrow (for daily emails) or work that’s due in the upcoming week (for weekly emails)
    • Class activity—Announcements, assignments, and questions recently posted by Mr. Stephens
