Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Coffelt

My name is Michelle Coffelt and you can find me and my fabulous students in room 15.  This is my ninth year teaching 3rd grade at Countryside Elementary.  I previously taught 2nd grade for ten years in Frederick County, VA (at Orchard View Elementary).

Let me tell  you about myself.  I grew up in Jeannette, which is a small town in PA.  As an only child, I enjoy going home to visit my parents as often as I can.  I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh (main campus) with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Elementary Education.  After graduating in 2005, I moved to Winchester, VA for my first teaching job.  Then, I moved to Loudoun County in 2015 to start a new adventure!

When I'm not at school, I keep myself busy in many ways.  A top priority is spending time with my husband, Jonathan (who is in the IT Security field), and my preschooler, Amantha.  Lately, my family has enjoyed traveling during our breaks and long weekends.  I love being near water (the pool or beach), watching movies, taking walks, cooking healthy meals, reading, cheering on all Pittsburgh sports teams (Go Steelers!), exploring Loudoun County, and shopping (especially at Target).

I absolutely love teaching 3rd graders!  I do my best to make my classroom a positive, fun environment.  Getting to know my students and their families is something that I look forward to.  I know we are going to have a fantastic 2023-2024 school year!
