My name is Michelle Coffelt and you can find me and my fabulous students in room 15. This is my seventh year teaching 3rd grade at Countryside Elementary. I previously taught 2nd grade for ten years in Frederick County, VA (at Orchard View Elementary).
Let me tell you about myself. I grew up in Jeannette, which is a small town in PA. As an only child, I enjoy going home to visit my parents as often as I can. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh (main campus) with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Elementary Education. After graduating in 2005, I moved to Winchester, VA for my first teaching job. Then, I moved to Loudoun County in 2015 to start a new adventure!
When I'm not at school, I keep myself busy in many ways. Spending time with my husband, Jonathan, and my toddler, Amantha, are a top priority. I enjoy being near water (the pool or beach), watching movies, taking walks, cooking healthy meals, reading magazines, cheering on all Pittsburgh sports teams, and shopping (espeically at Target).
I absolutely love teaching 3rd graders! I do my best to make my classroom a positive, fun environment. Getting to know my students and their families is something that I look forward to. I know we are going to have a fantastic 2021-2022 school year!
