Mrs. Ivers

Hello! My name is Haley Ivers and I am very excited to be your second grade teacher.This will be my first year teaching second grade at Discovery. Last year, I was an English Learner (EL) teacher for kindergarten and first grade and I worked in the front office before that. I attended James Madison University (Go Dukes!) and I am currently attending Regent University where I am working on completing my Masters of Education.

Before moving to Loudoun County, I was born and raised in Virginia Beach, which I credit for my love of the beach. Outside of school, you can catch me enjoying one of my hobbies - baking, painting, hiking, running, or just sitting on the porch reading a book. Needless to say, I love to be creative and outside. My big summer highlight is my husband and I bought our first townhome in Leesburg and have spent the summer making it home.

The school year is just around the corner and I can’t wait to see everyone. To all the familiar faces, I am so excited about seeing you again. To all the new faces, I look forward to kicking off our partnership and tackling the new year together!
