Virginia IS horse country! We are representing the second Northern Virginia Public High School equestrian team. We will offer John Champe High School riders the opportunity to compete in the hunt seat arena with other schools in the surrounding area. They will have an opportunity to be recognized by colleges, feel a connection with their school and other students as well as continue growth in a sport they already love. Our goal is to make every rider a better rider, leader, student, and ultimately contributing responsible adult. We are in the process of building a new indoor facility at Ohana Equestrian Preserve in Aldie Virginia. It is convenient to John Champe High School, and riders would be able to utilize the school bus transportation if necessary. The facility currently accommodates outdoor riding with excellent footing and the indoor is expected to be completed in December. We will offer a two day a week, one hour, riding program for two seasons, fall and winter. Shows will be chosen once the team is established. All meetings and activities will be held at Ohana Equestrian Preserve and Hunts End Stables.
