Smith, Lisa

Hello!  Welcome to my staff page!  My name is Lisa Smith and I am one of the band directors and guitar teachers here at SRMS.  This will be my 9th year working here and I can't wait to see what this year has in store for us!  I graduated from the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education.  I received a Master of Science in Music Education with a conducting emphasis from Radford University.  I have taught 7-12th grade band in New York from 2000-2003 and was the Director of Bands at Broad Run High School from 2005-2012.  I am also currently the Visual Coordinator for the Dominion Marching Titans at Dominion High School.  I have been married to my wonderful and supportive husband for 9 years, have two young girls named Hannah and Ashlee (8 years old and 6 years old respectively) and have a fur baby Basset Hound named Cadence.  My hobbies are listening to and playing music, outdoor cycling and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Peloton bike!  :-)
