    Membership FAQ's
    Q: Who is eligible to apply? 
    A: Juniors who have met the academic (3.5 cumulative GPA) and character criteria will receive an invitation to apply. Note: This is an invitation, and NOT a guarantee of admission. Students will then be directed to complete the NHS student application which will be reviewed by the faculty council for selection.
    Q: What if I transferred from another county?  

    A: From the NHS constitution..."Section 1. To be eligible for membership the candidate must be a member of those classes  (junior, senior) designated as eligible in the chapter bylaws. (Freshmen [ninth graders] are not eligible.) Candidates must have been in attendance at the school the equivalent of one semester.1
