The 2021-2022 school year will be my 21st year teaching students in LCPS and 30 years of teaching. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance and Music Education with licensure in K-12 General, Choral and Instrumental Music. In addition, I hold a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Keene State College and a second master's degree is in Educational Leadership and Administration from George Mason University with a license endorsement in Supervision K-12.

Family Life: My husband Kenneth and I grew up in State College, Pennsylvania (Go Penn State!) and live in Hillsboro, Virginia in a home which is listed on both the State of Virginia and National Historic Registries. We currently live with two beloved, aging Corgi dogs and two young gray cats. We raised three children who are LCPS graduates (Loudoun Valley High School and Woodgrove High School). Our daughter Meredith is a graduate of Lynchburg College and Shenandoah University, where she earned a Master of Athletic Training & Doctor of Physical Therapy. She is a Physical Therapist at Duke University Hospital. Our son Mark earned his undergraduate degree from The College of William and Mary and a master's degree from Tulane University's School of Architecture, in Historic Preservation. He teaches 8th grade English at Seneca Ridge Middle School while working toward a Master of Education Leadership and his Leadership endorsement at UVA. Finally, our youngest son, Matthew, a Northwestern University is a PhD candidate at Princeton in Electrical Engineering and a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow.
