• Nurse Dunnigan earned her BS degree in Health Science from James Madison University and a BSN from Emory University School of Nursing in Atlanta, GA.  Her first five years of nursing she spent in ATL working in the Neurosurgical ICU.  After moving back to VA with her husband Patrick she spent time at home with her three young children.  She returned to her career of nursing working for the Loudoun County Health Department.  Nurse Dunnigan was one of the Medication Supervisors during the H1N1 outbreak.  She then worked as a Resource Nurse for LCPS for two years, RN for the hearing and vision team and a sub for k-12.  The last year and a half she spent working as a part time RN at Belmont Ridge Middle School solidifying her joy in caring for middle school age children.

Nurse Dunnigan’s favorite sport is swimming!  She has spent 5 seasons as head coach of two local summer league teams.  In high school, Nurse Dunnigan earned the title of MVP during both her junior and senior years at McLean High School, and went on to swim for James Madison University.  She loves to tell her story of surviving and winning her age group in the close to tragic 91’ Chesapeake Bay Swim!

Nurse Dunnigan also enjoys spending time with family and vacationing on the OBX!
