Carra’s Corner

Hello!  I'm Mrs. Carra and I am very excited to be returning to the 8th grade.  This year I will be working with the English Language Learners and Special Programs.  As a Professional School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, personal and social development of all students.  I look forward to offering support to the students, staff, families and community alongside Mrs. Gwizala, our newest member of the Farmwell Counseling staff.

I am an original "Fairfax County" gal.  I grew up in Alexandria and West Springfield and went to James Madison University and George Mason University.  I have completed my Master of Arts Degree in Counseling and Development with a concentration in School Counseling (K-12).  My husband and I enjoy spending summers in North Carolina and hope to retire there in the future.  I love everything about Art/Painting and Sports.  In my spare time, you will find me painting, at the gym or on a soccer field watching my grandchildren play.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have this year. I can be reached by email at monica.carra@lcps.org
    Warm Regards,
    Monica Carra
