Mrs. Rachel Matera
Hi, I'm Mrs. Matera and I'm so excited for my fifth year teaching fourth grade. This is my tenth year with the county and my 11th year of teaching. I grew up in Maryland and currently live in Adamstown, MD. I graduated from Kalamazoo College with a B.A. in Psychology. Later, I earned my M.A.T. Elementary Education from Liberty University. In May of 2019 I graduated from Mason University with an MEd. in Digitally Designing Learning In Schools.
I have a cat named Peeps, she is the very definition of a scardy cat. We also have a beagle named Henry and he is a handful. I spend as much time as possible with my nieces Ellie and Evie, they are 10 and 7. In my spare time I enjoy attending live music concerts, especially if it's a bluegrass band. I also have a passion for reading historical fiction.
I am looking forward to a positively wonderful year!
