Hi, I'm Mrs. Matera and I'm so excited for my second year teaching fourth grade. This is my seventh year with the county. I grew up in Maryland and currently live in Adamstown, MD. I graduated from Kalamazoo College with a B.A. in Psychology. Later I earned M.A.T. Elementary Education from Liberty University. In May of 2019 I graduated from Mason University with an MEd. in Digitally Designing Learning In Schools. 

I love to take my Beagle, Jimbo, for long walks around the neighborhood. I also have a cat named Peeps. I spend as much time as possible with my nieces Ellie and Evie, they are 7 and 4.  In my spare time I enjoy attending live music concerts and camping. This summer I was able attend a virtual event of my favorite bluegrass festival, Greyfox. 

I am looking forward to a positively wonderful year!
