• Mrs. Shingler attended George Mason University for the majority of her undergraduate studies and received her B.A. in English from Christopher Newport University.  She received her M.A. in English and a Composition Studies Certification through Indiana University East.

     

    For the 2019-2020 school year, Mrs. Shingler is teaching one section of English 11 Honors and four sections of English 11 Academic with team teacher Mrs. Casanova.  Mrs. Shingler is entering her sixth year at Loudoun County High School and her eleventh year of teaching.  She previously taught at Broad Run High School, Dominion High School, and began her teaching career at Loudoun County High School - 20 years ago!

     
    In her free time, Mrs. Shingler enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters. She's an avid runner, roots for the Steelers and Penguins, and loves photography.   She is passionate about American Literature and is looking forward to having another outstanding year!
