•  Welcome to Room 4

Hello and welcome, I am Mrs. Edwards, a first grade teacher here at Pinebrook Elementary. This will be my fourth year teaching first grade at Pinebrook.  My teaching career has led me to a nice foundation for being where I am today. I have been teaching for 17 years. I taught two years in kindergarten, 12 years in Special Education, and three years in first grade. I am pleased to be a part of this amazing first grade team. I always enjoy the energy and passion first grade students bring to the classroom. I am looking forward to a terrific year. Go PUMAS!

Here is a little information about my terrific family and me.  I am a lifelong resident of Northern Virginia.  I live in Centreville, Va. with my wonderful husband Todd, and three amazing girls. My oldest daughter Sophia is in 12th grade and plays softball. Penelope is in 10th grade and she is my soccer star.  My youngest daughter Virginia will be attending 6thgrade and she is my cheerleader. We also include our two dogs Marty and Maggie to our beloved family.

I enjoy the great outdoors, the beach, long summer days, reading, and enjoying activities with my family.  My favorite color is green, my favorite story is “The Interrupting Chicken,” I spend many fall days watching my girls play soccer, and routing on local student football teams as my daughter cheers them.

This will be a great year of learning for all our students in room 4.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns throughout the year.  I look forward to working with each of you!
