This is Mrs. Smith's 17th year teaching at Catoctin Elementary. She has taught third, fourth, and fifth grades and is thrilled to be back in fifth grade this year! She has her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Elementary Education from James Madison University. She enjoys being a part of the Catoctin family and loves the students and staff here!

Mrs. Smith is originally from Massachusetts, so she spends a lot of her free time rooting for her home teams. She had the chance to study in Italy and would jump at any chance to go back and visit. She loves coffee, a good book, and curling up with her three cats. During the spring, summer, and fall she spends weekends camping and going on adventures with her husband and two sons.

Mrs. Smith is looking forward to having you join her this upcoming year. 2023-2024 promises to be a fun and exciting school year learning new things and making lasting memories!
