Hello, and welcome to second grade! My name is Shannon Cunningham and I am very excited to be returning to the Catoctin family as a 2nd grade teacher! I have a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology and Early Childhood Education from James Madison University. I also earned a Master’s degree in Education Leadership from George Mason University. This will be my 21st year of teaching. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades in Spotsylvania County, Alexandria City and Loudoun County schools.I live in Purcellville with my husband, my two children and my sweet pup, Sunny. I enjoy cooking, reading, playing outside with my family and relaxing at the lake. My family loves to watch all Washington sports teams (when I am not watching my own children play sports)!
I am looking forward to meeting all of my new students and their families. This is going to be a wonderful year!
