Mrs. Repola's Kindergarten
Mrs. Repola grew up in New York, where she earned a Bachelor degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences, a precursor to a career in Speech-Language Pathology. While applying to grad school, she worked for a preschool and discovered a passion for being a classroom teacher. Mrs. Repola earned her Masters degree in Education and moved to Virginia in search of employment. This will be her eighth year of teaching kindergarten.
Kindergarten is a great year for kids. It is a time where the children grow confident in abilities and learn how to love learning. Mrs. Repola feels that she has been called to teaching kindergarten because she loves seeing the spark in their eyes when something finally clicks and seeing that huge amount of growth throughout the year.
Aside from teaching, Mrs. Repola loves to spend time with her family: her husband Paul, her two beautiful girls Ellie age 13 and Sam age 8. They enjoy hiking, reading lots of fiction books, and singing. The Repola's were drawn to the beauty of the mountains and I could not imagine living anywhere else!
Mrs.Repola is eagerly anticipating a school year full of joy, laughter, and learning. She is looking forward to having such a wonderful time discovering new things together and can’t wait to meet you all!
