Welcome to FIFTH grade! My name is Lori Burgess and I am thrilled to be a CARDINAL at Seldens Landing for my ninth year. This year we are going to have a fantastic year filled with many exciting educational experiences!
I graduated from James Madison University (Go Dukes!) with a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education, concentrating on both Math and Science. During college, I had the opportunity to travel to Rome, Italy, where I immersed myself in Italian culture and taught in a 3rd grade classroom at the Marymount International School.
I moved to Loudoun County from Manassas, Virginia. Outside of the classroom, I like to keep busy by going to sporting events, spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, and READING! I am most looking forward to making this year exciting and memorable.
