Ms. Lisa Root

Welcome to fifth grade!  My name is Lisa Root and I am so happy to be starting my eighth year with this Legacy Lab family.  This will be the beginning of my twenty-fourth year teaching in Loudoun County.  I taught fourth grade for twelve years, and the last eleven I have been teaching fifth grade.

I earned my Bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, with a degree in Elementary Education N-6, and a minor in Psychology.

I have two adult children who graduated from Potomac Falls High School.  My oldest son went on to graduate from Virginia Tech in 2010, and my youngest son graduated in 2014 from James Madison University.  I am also a proud to Nana to my grandson, Owen!

In my spare time I enjoy reading, exercising, and spending time with my wonderful friends, family, and Irishdoodle, Pearl.
