Orchestra & Guitar
Ethan Lawrence grew up on a farm in Nokesville, Virginia where he spent quite a bit of time playing with tractors, horses, dogs, and his bass. When not participating in these activities, he would usually be spending time (arguing) with his older and younger brothers.
After graduating from Brentsville District High School, Mr. Lawrence went on to continue his education at Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia. While at Shenandoah, he studied double bass under both Dr. Donovan Stokes and Inez Wyrick. He also performed in the Shenandoah Conservatory Symphonic Orchestra under Jan Wagner, the Concert Band under Dr. Emily Threinen, and the Symphonic Wind Ensemble under both Drs. Emily Threinen and Damon Talley. Mr. Lawrence also played the trombone in the "Shenandoah University Buzzin' Dozen Pep Band" for 3 years.
In his free time, Mr. Lawrence enjoys going on hikes with his wonderful wife and spending time with his cats & dog. He also performs with the "Front Porch Rockers" on a regular basis where he plays upright bass, electric bass, and cello.
He hopes that everyone has been practicing diligently and is excited to be back at school to guide students through the wonderful process of making music.
