Mrs. Whitehouse

After 14 years of teaching in the public schools (5 of those at Tolbert), Mrs. Whitehouse is ready for a new adventure. She is thrilled to be working in the Tolbert library as the Library Assistant! Mrs. Whitehouse received her Masters Degree in Education with a concentration in Severe Disabilities from George Mason University and her Undergraduate Degree in Psychology and Special Education from James Madison University. She is currently in the Longwood graduate program to become a Librarian.
Mrs. Whitehouse lives in Leesburg with her husband and three children. Her two oldest are at Heritage High School and her youngest is at Harper Park. She spends her free time at her kids sporting events, working out, reading, doing art and writing children’s books, which is a passion of hers. Follow her blog about reading and writing for kids at
