    Orchestra Director          FSMS,  BRHS

Ms. Albers, originally from Johnstown, PA (go Steelers!), is looking forward to her 17th year teaching orchestra in Loudoun County and her 15th year in music education.  Ms. Albers currently directs the 8th grade orchestras at Farmwell and is the full time orchestra director at Broad Run High School.  She began studying the violin in public school, and went on to earn her degree in music education from Shenandoah University.  Ms. Albers graduated SU cum laude and received dual certification for both instrumental and choral/general music education.  Upon graduation she began teaching in Loudoun County and is thrilled to see the growth of LCPS orchestras since the program began in 2004.  In addition to recently completing the Paul Rolland String Pedagogy training certification at GMU, she spent last summer participating in an VDOE sponsored orchestra directors' institute at VCU.  Her favorite violinist is her son, Daniel.
