                                                                    Mrs. Nichols
Mrs. Nichols is thrilled to be back for another exciting year at Discovery Elementary! She is looking forward to meeting her 2019-20 fifth grade class! Before joining the Discovery family, Mrs. Nichols came from New York having completed her Bachelor of Science Degree from Buffalo State College in Childhood Education, and her Master of Science Degree in Literacy Education from Syracuse University. This will be Mrs. Nichols sixth year teaching in the Loudoun County Public Schools.

Beyond the classroom, Mrs. Nichols loves being active outdoors, cooking for her friends and family, traveling, as well as watching Duke AND Syracuse basketball.

Mrs. Nichols believes patience, compassion, and desire to meet every student’s unique educational needs are key components to being an effective educator. Her goal is to facilitate and instruct students with the proper resources that will both challenge and motivate them to become productive citizens into today’s ever changing world. Mrs. Nichols is eager to meet her fifth-grade students and is confident that this will be a successful 2019-20 school year!
