Mrs. K. Meghan R. BonnerDepartment: World LanguageE-mail: Mrs. Bonner's EmailPlanning Time A Day: 2nd blockPlanning Time B Day: 8th blockSalvete, omnes! My name is Mrs. Bonner, and I teach Latin I and II at JML. I truly enjoy working with students as they begin their study of Latin and form a foundation for subsequent years as they continue to high school. After graduating high school in Midlothian, VA, I attended Virginia Tech and earned my degree in Business Management with minors in Latin and Leadership. I began my teaching career at a public high school in Gloucester County, VA, a quaint area near Colonial VA's Historic Triangle before moving to a public middle school in Alexandria City, VA. After a couple of years at an independent school where I was teaching English in addition to Latin, I eagerly made the return to a strong public school system and am thrilled to be at Lunsford again.I earned my MA in Teaching and state licensure for administration with a special education endorsement through the Education Leadership Program, both at George Mason University.More personally, my husband, an assistant principal in LCPS, and I enjoy a wide range of hobbies and spending time with family and friends and are particularly proud of our beautiful daughter Davis and adorable "puppy" Titan, a 70lb. Boxer/Shepherd mix. We love to catch up with our family and friends and watch shows and sports (Go, Hokies! Go, Caps!).As an educator, I love finding ways to make an ancient culture relevant to modern learners and provide opportunities for students to succeed and gain experiences both in and out of the classroom setting. I am looking forward to a great year of learning with the students, families, and community that make Loudoun thrive!
