    About Mr. Forster

    Derek Forster joins us from the great state of Pennsylvania.  Mr. Forster graduated from Messiah College in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Counseling.  He also competed on Messiah’s NCAA Men’s Swim team where he was a two year captain.  Additionally, he competed on Messiah’s Men’s Club Volleyball team, winning the National Championship in 2008.  Derek later moved to Arlington, VA where he earned his Master’s in Counseling from Marymount University and graduating with honors.  Upon graduation, Mr. Forster passed the National Counselor Exam and is a Nationally Certified Counselor.  He is also a current member of the American School Counselor Association, the National Board of Certified Counselors, and Psi Chi (International Honor Society in Psychology. 


    Mr. Forster currently serves as the Assistant Varsity Coach for our John Champe Volleyball team.  He is an avid fan of all Philadelphia sports teams, Penn State athletics, and plays as much volleyball as he can in his free time.  Mr. Forster loves being active in the John Champe community, and helping students in whatever challenges they may encounter from their academics, college and career planning, to any and all personal issues that may arise.
