Sue Pangman is entering her 12th year as a school counselor for Loudoun County Public Schools. Prior to joining us at John Champe she was a school counselor at Hutchison Farm Elementary School. Mrs. Pangman earned her Master’s degree in Education/Counseling from George Mason University. Having left the field of marketing and publishing to begin a career in school counseling was one of the best decisions she ever made. Ms. Pangman is passionate about guiding and inspiring students toward a path of success, both in high school and beyond. She is also a parent of three sons and has an in-depth understanding of the social and emotional demands of high school as well as the college admissions process. In addition to serving individual students with last names Sl - Z, Mrs. Pangman works with the PEER (Positive Experiences in Educational Relationships) program here at John Champe. Through the efforts of PEER, she hopes to contribute to a positive, welcoming, respectful environment here at John Champe. Mrs. Pangman lives in Centreville with her husband, a 4th grade teacher at Arcola Elementary. In her free time she enjoys visiting her sons (Matthew – working and living in Colorado, Bryce –working and living in Charlotte, NC, and Connor, Senior business major at JMU). She also enjoys long walks with the beloved family dog, Marley.
