I have taught at Broad Run High School since 2014, and prior to that I taught at Blue Ridge Middle School. I am excited to return to the home of the Spartans. I teach Pre-AP World History and AP Government/Comparative Politics. I am proud to sponsor: The Thirst Project, Key Club, Launch X, Spartan Pride, and the Feminist Club.
Prior to becoming a teacher, I practiced family law for ten years and taught at NOVA Community College. When my husband retired from the USMC, we decided to build a home in the best school district we could find--Loudoun County! We currently reside in South Riding. We are blessed with three daughters: Gillian (currently a pre-med major at the University of Notre Dame), Annie (Junior at Freedom HS), and Mia (8th Grader at J. Michael Lunsford MS). Of course, our dog Max and our cat Mittens think they run the place. :)
I believe that the difference between Ordinary and Extraordinary is that little bit "Extra." Striving for that "extra" is the goal I set for all students in my classroom and for mysef.
I can't wait to meet my students and their families! I know we are going to have a great year together!
All resources for my class can be found on Google Classroom, see codes below.
If you have questions or need extra help, please send an email to Mrs. Valli.
PHOENIX:
PHOENIX is a secure, web-based, hosted grade book application that allows teachers to track and analyze student performance on assignments and assessments and communicate that information to parents. Parents can view assignment information and grades. If you need help accessing PHOENIX, please contact the Counseling Department.
Google Classroom:
I use Google Classroom in my classroom. Your student can access material here if they are absent, or if they misplace an assignment.
