I am excited and honored to be the Principal of Sterling Middle School! I look forward to continuing the important work we do and look forward to supporting our students academically, socially, and emotionally.
I grew up in Miami, Florida. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in English Education from Florida State University and a Master of Education degree from Johns Hopkins University. Throughout my last 20+ years in education, I have worked at the K-12 levels in three diverse school districts. I have had the opportunity to establish and maintain strong professional learning communities that promote student achievement, to monitor strategic data that ensures all students succeed, and to provide ample leadership opportunities for teachers and students.
My goals are to continue building on the programs and high expectations that support our students at Sterling and to continue building lasting relationships with the entire school community. Let’s continue fostering a collaborative school culture that is based on trust and encourages innovative thinking so that our students become self-directed learners and world-class citizens. I know that together we will nurture one another in order to make a difference in the lives of all our students.
