Mrs. Aimee Holloway

Hello!  This will be my 11th year working for Loudoun County Public Schools, and my 3rd year teaching 6th grade history.   I have taught in both elementary and middle schools, but middle school is my favorite. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in History from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and I graduated from George Mason in 2015 with a Master’s in Education.  I am licensed to teach special education K-12 and middle school history.  I am so excited to be joining the Lunsford Lions staff this year and I look forward to meeting and working with all my students.

I am from Baltimore, Maryland, but have lived in Leesburg for the past 19 years. My husband and I have two adult sons, Ben who is working full time in sales and Jack who just graduated from Heritage High School in June.   My husband completed his second Ironman competition in Boulder, Colorado last year and the Rocky Mountains have become a favorite destination for us.  Because our boys are so grown up we really love spending time with our rescue dog Charlie and our rescue kitten, Harry, who has become buddies with my son's cat Simon.

When I have free time I love to go to the gym, play with the kittens, work in my garden and read.  I enjoy cooking, spending time with my family and watching football.  Go Washington!

I am truly passionate about what I teach.  I love early American History and my favorite thing is to share my love of the subject with my students.  Even if your child is not a huge fan, I promise that they will enjoy coming to my class!!!  I look forward to getting to know all of my students for the year.
