Welcome Trailside Families!
I have countless memories of working with so many families and LCPS staff members in our TMS community. However, one of my fondest will surely be the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful families when the doors at Trailside opened nine years ago. I am so excited to be a part of the Trailside Middle School community as we begin our ninth year with an amazing administration and staff. Throughout the years, we have developed so many relationships with businesses and non-profit organizations. We are so very grateful for the generosity and much needed resources that has been offered to our families in need at Trailside MS.
My journey on the trail began in the fall of 2013 when I became a member of the TMS Parent Planning Council. For the past thirteen years, I've had the honor of serving as Family Liaison at Creighton's Corner Elementary School. This will be my ninth year proudly serving as the Family Liaison at Trailside. I have a BS degree in Human Services and Counseling from Old Dominion University. My 35+ years of experience working in direct care and administration in the Human Services field provides me with a strong sense of the diverse needs of individuals and families in our community.
My son, Gabriel, attended Trailside all three years and graduated from SBHS in 2021. Gabriel is currently attending GW University and is a USMC Reservist. He is also a LCPS substitute teacher. My daughter, Ivana, also attended Trailside all three years. She attends Rock Ridge High School and is very involved in their incredible theatre program. We have lived in Ashburn for 18 years. I am originally from Pennsylvania and grew up in Northern Virginia. I enjoy cooking everything, creating outreach programs, special events planning, traveling, and journaling our adventures. Most of all, I love spending time with my family.
As the Family Liaison at Trailside, it is my ongoing goal to remove any existing barriers for our students, families, and staff to ensure that everyone has the best academic day possible. I look forward to welcoming and providing support for all of our families at Trailside! Please contact me if you should need assistance. My door is always open!
