My name is Val Terrazas, however I usually go by Mrs. T.   This is my third year at Blue Ridge Middle and my 29th year teaching.   Previously to teaching at Blue Ridge Middle,  I spent five years at Belmont Ridge Middle in 6th, 7th and 8th grade science classes.    My husband is retired army, which has given me the opportunity to work in 5 other states, teaching at all grade levels K-12 and subjects as well as working with a variety of wonderful people.

My home  state is Illinois the “Land of Lincoln”.   Eastern Illinois University is where I earned my B.S. in Education in Special Education and Elementary Education.  Through our travels I continued to advance my knowledge through graduate courses at Eastern Kentucky University and the College of Charleston.  Once in Loudoun County, I was able to pursue my masters through George Mason University. There I earned my M.S. Ed in Instructional Technology.

In my spare time I enjoy reading and playing the piano.  On weekends in the fall I enjoy attending band competitions to watch my youngest son march in the Loudoun Valley Band.   During vacations I love the beach and spending time with my children and grandchildren.

If you ever have any questions or concerns please feel free to call the school or email me at val.terrazas@lcps.org
