Mrs. Valeria Terrazas

Most students and staff know me as Mrs. T.  Currently, I am teaching Science covering standards in 6th and 7th grade, which has become my favorite area to teach and help students explore.  I began teaching in 1988 and have had the opportunity to teach in 5 states  working with students who range from Kindergarten through High School.  Through these transitions, I have been able to work with a large variety of stuent populations and teach all subjects across the core curriculum.
Over the years I have coached high school cheerleading where the team participated in national championships.  Winterguard has also been a passion; coaching and working with 'junior' guard and supporting the varsity guard participating in state championships at World Guard Internataional competitions.

My home  state is Illinois the “Land of Lincoln”.   Eastern Illinois University is where I earned my B.S. in Education in Special Education and Elementary Education.  Through our travels I continued to advance my knowledge through graduate courses at Eastern Kentucky University and the College of Charleston.  Once in Loudoun County, I  pursued my masters through George Mason University with M.S. Ed in Instructional Technology.

In my spare time I enjoy reading and playing the piano.   During vacations I love the beach and spending time with my children and grandchildren.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
