I am thrilled to begin my 29th year as a teacher! My experience includes teaching grades 2 - 5 in Loudoun and Fairfax Counties, and also serving as a teacher and Differentiation Specialist for Wilmette District #39, in Illinois. I hold a Bachelor's degree in History from George Mason University and a Master's degree in Education, K-8, from Marymount University. Additionally, I have all of the required credits for a GT endorsement in Virginia. Parents and students will find me continually adding to my skill set and sharing my passion for learning in the classroom, as I am a lifelong learner.

My husband (Daniel), son (Drake) and I live on a small farm in Purcellville. Our family, which also includes two Shetland Sheepdogs (Daisy and Darby), chickens and bees, enjoys spending our free time traveling, gardening, listening to music, and being outdoors. Drake attends Moorefield Station with me and will be in the 4th grade this year, too!

I strive to provide students with a solid academic foundation as they prepare for the leap to 5th grade. My expectations will be high, and I will challenge students to exceed standards. My approach is a differentiated one that meets the needs of the individual child in a positive, caring learning environment.

I can't wait to start working with all of you Moorefield Station Sharks. We're going to have a fantastic 2023-24 together!
