Hello Timber Wolves!
I am so excited to be starting my tenth year here at Trailside! I have been at Trailside since we've opened and this will be my6th year in 6th grade Science! I have previously taught 6th grade English and 7th grade Science.
I grew up in the Sterling area and graduated from Dominion High School. I attended James Madison University where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies with a minor in Middle School Education. I stayed at JMU to complete my graduate work and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching degree. I am licensed to teach both English and Science for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.
I love learning about science and am a huge fan of science puns! I also enjoy reading and binge-watching Netflix shows to relax. I am a dog mom to an adorable black lab/boxer mix! His name is Murphy and he is my little sidekick who loves to go on adventures with me.
I am passionate about teaching and I hope all my students feel welcomed and comfortable in my classroom. I can't wait to explore, experiment, and learn with the students this year.
