I came to USA from Morocco, where I received my Master's Degree in Psychology in 1993. I'm happy to have realized my dream of being a teacher, the dream that always tickled my emotions. I taught for two years at the Morocco Institute of Technology. Then I got the chance to work for 2 years in a middle school.  When I came to the United States, I worked with children of all ages for ten years. After this experience, I decided to advance my skills, so I registered at NVCC to get my CDA (Child development associate degree) and become a professional in the early childhood field. I worked with LCPS for six years at Steuart Weller ES as ELL TA. I also worked with SA in Summer School. Becoming a teacher has made me realize how truly important my role is to the kids. I understand that their future depends on what we teach them everyday.  Working as an educator doesn't only help me as a teacher, but also makes me a proud mom of 2 great kids (Othman, Nasroallah).

I enjoy playing indoors and outdoors, reading, cooking, watching movies, and traveling with my husband and kids.
I'm so happy to be a member of Trailside School as an Instructional Assistant.

I am very excited to work as a Resource/Study hall teacher at Trailside Middle School. For the past 4 years I have been a frequent substitute teacher at the school and found that I enjoy working in the school environment. I have substituted at various schools but Trailside is my favorite!

For several years I taught Algebra and Geometry in Virginia and then in New Jersey. After marrying and moving to New Jersey I got my Master’s degree in Statistics from Rutgers University and worked for a large corporation until our children arrived.  We lived in New Jersey for 12 years and then in England for 4 years.

We finally moved back to Virginia and live in Fairfax County. Our children are grown now but stay with us some of the time. Our oldest son is an attorney in Northern Virginia and our daughter is the owner and director of a local ballet studio. Our youngest son graduated last year from WVU and is a manager with Norfolk Southern Corp.

I am also a Realtor and occasional costume assistant for my daughter’s studio. When I have free time, I like to read or go to the beach.

I am excited to return to Trailside Middle School as an Instructional Assistant. My husband and I grew up in San Diego, CA and moved to Ashburn for job transfers in 1997. We have two wonderful children. During the years I stayed home, I spent many hours volunteering for my children’s schools and other capacities within the community.

I have a BA Degree in Psychology, and my professional experience is ten plus years in Human Resources at SAIC, which included acquisitions. I enjoy working with and helping others, my prior work afforded me both opportunities. I now have the pleasure to work with amazing students at Trailside and it is rewarding!

In my free time, I enjoy reading and spending time with my family. We love the beach!! I stay active either running, walking and dancing. Weekends are always busy with my children's sporting events. Life is busy……but what a great adventure it is!!

I am delighted to be returning to Trailside for my third year as an Instructional Assistant. Before joining the pack, I was an early childhood teacher for 5 years and I worked for St. Johns County Public Schools in Florida. I realized my passion for teaching at a young age. Preparing and teaching my own children before they went off to school really sealed the deal. Becoming a licensed ELL teacher is one of my current objectives. As a former ELL student myself, I understand the frustration, challenges, and rewards that comes with being an English Language Learner.

In my free time I absolutely love spending time with my kids, either watching movies, going sightseeing or just hanging out. I have two girls, one in college, the other in high school and my youngest is in middle school. I am excited to be back! I look forward to working with the students and our wonderful staff!

I live in Ashburn with my husband and two children. My children are 11th graders at Stone Bridge High School. We have lived in Ashburn for 20 years.  I was born in DC and grew up in Montgomery County, Maryland. Therefore, I am a huge Washington Redskins fan! My husband is an Eagles fan, so it’s always an entertaining time in our house when the two teams play each other. I’m looking forward to working with all the students and staff at Trailside.

I am excited for my first year here at Trailside Middle School as an Instructional Assistant in Special Education!  My family and I are new to Loudoun county and have enjoyed getting to know the area over the past year.  I have a B.S. in Psychology from Texas A&M University and hold a lifetime teaching certification from the state of Texas.  I have previously taught 7th & 8th grade science and substituted in many other classrooms.

We came to Ashburn from Whidbey Island Washington by way of the Navy.  I have been a proud military spouse for 20 years and counting!  My husband and I are the proud parents of two beautiful children, a daughter who is a sophomore at Stone Bridge and a son who is an 8th grader here at Trailside.

In my free time I love getting to know the area with my family and snuggling with our three Siamese kitties.  I also love to shop, cook, craft, and entertain.  I look forward to getting to know many of the students here at Trailside this school year!

I am very excited to start my first year at Trailside Middle School.  I have been a substitute teacher at Newton Lee Elementary and Belmont Ridge Middle school for the last 4 years.  My husband and I have lived in Ashburn with our two sons for the last 14 years.  Our oldest is a senior and our youngest is a sophomore at Riverside HS.  They keep us busy with soccer all year round and plenty of other activities.  However, this year is bitter sweet as we focus free time on college search and tours.

I am originally from Latrobe, Pennsylvania so of course I am a Steeler fan. I graduated from Penn State University with an accounting degree.  Before having kids, I worked at Ernst and Young in Washington, DC.  But I find so much happiness in helping kids learn and grow.    I also enjoy spending time at the beach, doing light yard work, walking our mini schnauzer and drawing.

My goal this year is to provide a positive, safe, comfortable resource room for kids not only to complete work but to assist in expanding their knowledge to be the best student they can be.

It’s a honor to have the opportunity to join a great staff and student body here at Trailside! I was born and raised in Washington, DC. After a stellar high school athletic career, I accepted a full athletic award scholarship to play football at Howard University in Washington, DC. After my athletic career at Howard, I had the opportunity of fulfilling my childhood dream of attending two professional football camps, one with the Philadelphia Eagles in 98 and with the Baltimore Ravens in 99. After being released from the Ravens, I was offered a coaching job at Fairfax County Public Schools. This lead the way to a great career in education, both the private and public sectors with in the school systems.

In my spare time I enjoy building my business and mastering my craft as "Thee Pit Master" (I'm the BBQ King of the D.C. Metropolitan Area). In addition, I enjoy spending quality time with my wife Melissa, threes sons, Trey, Christian, Steven Jr. and daughter Niya Milan. This is going to be a great year!
