Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS)
What is PBIS?
PBIS is an evidence-based, tiered framework for supporting and improving students' behavioral, emotional, social, and academic outcomes.
Where can I see PBIS in action at Pinebrook?
In classrooms throughout the school, our students, the "Pinebrook Pumas", receive ongoing coaching on what it looks like to be Ready, Responsible, and Respectful (the "3 R's").
Pumas that Pounce are notes of congratulations to students that kept trying even when things got tough, that demonstrated extra effort, or that had a great attitude even when things didn't go as planned.
The Golden Spatula is a cafeteria reward for the grade level that best demonstrates the 3 R's in the cafeteria. The Admins with Aprons are the lunch hosts for a day!
