Mrs. Carol Keyes

     I am excited to be working with the 7th grade students and staff this year. I have been teaching in Loudoun County for 14 years, most of them at Sanders Corner Elementary. Prior to that, I taught in Harford County Maryland. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Christopher Newport College. I attended Towson State for my Elementary Education Certification and Loyola College of Maryland and Shenandoah University for my Special Education Certification.

      I have two daughters who have inherited my love of teaching. The oldest teaches Chemistry, Biology, and AP Environmental Science at Herndon High School. The youngest works as a Nanny while pursuing her Early Childhood degree. I enjoy spending as much time as possible outside, either taking walks with my dog, gardening, or going on fishing trips with my husband.

     I view myself as a life long learner and I enjoy discovering and growing in the classroom with my students. I am looking forward to the learning opportunities we will have together this year at Trailside.
