This is my seventh year at Trailside Middle School and my fourteenth year in teaching. This year I will be teaching Math 7 and Algebra I. Last year, I had the opportunity to teach CAMS. Prior to opening Trailside, I taught at Eagle Ridge Middle School. Over those seven years, I taught Math 7, Math 8, Algebra I Part 1, and Algebra I. I've also taught Geometry as part of a summer program in conjunction with George Mason University. I started my teaching career teaching 7th Grade Mathematics and Honors Mathematics at Maine-Endwell Middle School in New York. I received my Bachelors Degree in Mathematics from SUNY Binghamton, where I also received my Masters of Adolescent Teaching in Mathematics. I am certified for Mathematics 7-12.
Last spring (2020) was also my thirteenth (and final) year as the Head Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach at Stone Bridge High School. Excluding our 0-0 record in 2020, over the past six years, we had a record of 92-23 and had made four appearances to the State Semifinals or Finals. I played lacrosse for four years at Binghamton University (Division I) where I was a captain. In addition, I am also an avid NY Giants and NY Mets fan. As you can probably guess, I grew up in New York and more specifically on Long Island.
I hope to make this year fun and enjoyable, but most of all provide my students with the tools necessary to succeed. I have high expectations for all of my students and I look forward to having a great year at Trailside Middle School.
