This is my sixth year at Trailside Middle School and my thirteenth year in teaching. This year I will be teaching Math 7, Algebra I, and CAMS in addition to being the Mathematics Department SALT. Previously I taught at Eagle Ridge Middle School for seven years where I taught Math 7, Math 8, Algebra I Part 1 and Algebra I. I've also taught Geometry as part of a summer program in conjunction with George Mason University. Prior to that, I taught 7th Grade Mathematics and Honors Mathematics at Maine-Endwell Middle School in New York. I received my Bachelors Degree in Mathematics from SUNY Binghamton, where I also received my Masters of Adolescent Teaching in Mathematics. I am certified for Mathematics 7-12.
This upcoming year will also be my thirteenth year as the Head Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach at Stone Bridge High School. Last year, we finished the year with a record of 10-7. Over the past six years, we've had a record of 92-23 and have made four appearances to the State Semifinals or better. I played lacrosse for four years at Binghamton University (Division I) where I was a captain. In addition, I am also an avid NY Giants and NY Mets fan. As you can probably guess, I grew up in New York and more specifically on Long Island.
I hope to make this year fun and enjoyable, but most of all provide my students with the tools necessary to succeed. I have high expectations for all of my students and I look forward to having a great year at Trailside Middle School.
