A native of Pennsylvania, I grew up in the Poconos and spent my summers working and relaxing on Lake Wallenpaupack – a big tourist destination when the weather gets warm. The upcoming school year will be my eleventh year teaching English.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in journalism from Penn State University, my master’s degree in communication from Shippensburg University, and my teaching certifications from East Stroudsburg University. Although I definitely have a lot of options on Saturdays for cheering on my different college teams, I consider myself a Nittany Lion first and foremost. Go Lions!

My wife and I welcomed our first child, our daughter Dylan, in the spring of 2021. She is definitely teaching us a few things about being parents! And although we are Pennsylvania transplants, after living and working in the area for the past ten years, I feel like Northern Virginia is home. Go Timber Wolves!!!
