Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Jeannie Tallent
With over twenty years of teaching experience in the books, I look forward to starting a new year at Trailside Middle School. I have had wonderful times teaching fifth, sixth and eighth graders. I love teaching in the middle school environment. I believe middle school is the prime time to help students cultivate global understanding, express individuality, and foster beliefs in themselves.
I graduated from James Madison University earning a bachelor’s of arts degree, as well as a master’s of education degree. If you’re ever looking for me on a weekend, chances are I’ll be at a high school football game on Friday and college game on Saturday. I bleed Purple every Saturday in the fall. Go Dukes!
My husband and daughter are also a part of Loudoun County Public Schools. We are a tight-knit family that loves football, big dogs, and Smith Mountain Lake. We enjoy spending time outside with family and friends. We are constantly on the go and looking for our next adventure.
I am an avid reader and devour books on a daily basis. I especially love keeping up to date with teen literature, so I can have well-rounded discussions with my students. I can’t wait for another new year at Trailside Middle School!
