Hello Thunderbolts!

I attended college in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan at Michigan Technology University, making me a temporary Yooper.  After managing to dig out from the 200+ inches of snow that falls each winter, I received my Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and teaching certifications in Math, Science and English.  After teaching for six years, I went back to school for my Master's in Library Science in part because I love making connections among different topics.
Life has become busier at home since I have discovered Pinterest and Twitter.  The ability to share ideas and connect with authors and other experts has been great.  This year I'm going to Phoenix to present at the American Association of School Librarians and will have even more big plans for our library.  Bookwise, I enjoy reading narrative non-fiction right now and will gladly read graphic novels, especially if suggested by students.

Come visit us in the library, propose some new titles, and ask about our reading groups – including Battle of the Books!  I look forward to seeing everyone in the library this year to check out our resources and help you with your information seeking needs.  We have some awesome plans for you!
