Mrs. Zhao earned her master's degree in Education from George Mason University. She has been teaching Mandarin Chinese level 1- 4 in Loudoun County since 2013 after working for Fairfax County Public Schools.  She also worked as a teaching fellow for STARTALK Chinese Teacher and Student Academies at UVA in 2018 and 2015.  She served as a board member of the Chinese Language Teachers Association of Virginia (CLTA-VA).
