Mrs. Susan Grimes

Welcome to 8th grade Civics!  This is my 9th year at Lunsford and my 11th year with LCPS.  When I was younger, I wanted to become either a Veterinarian or go into Sports Medicine so I earned my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. I married a Naval Officer and went into recreation while stationed in Hawaii for 5 years (yes, my office was on the beach!). I stayed at home for many years with my children and I am extremely thankful for that gift of precious time. I finished my Masters in Education May 2015 and am looking forward to a couple of snow days where I am not working on a paper or studying for a test!

I live in South Riding with my husband of over 26 years and our 4 children (ages 23, 19, 17, & 14).  We have lived in South Riding since 2000 and as the daughter and wife of career military men, I welcome the consistency.  All my children play various sports but lacrosse is number one in our family.   As a family, we love to travel and cook together.  We enjoy the beach and tropical islands as much as we love to ski and snowboard.
