Mrs. Dawson

Hello kindergarteners and families!!

My name is Regina Dawson and have been a member of the Countryside Elementary community for over 15 years. Both of my daughters attended Countryside Elementary and both had Mrs. Mishler as their kindergarten teacher! I became a staff member in 2010 - first as a substitute, then English Language Learner Assistant, and finally a kindergarten assistant. Mrs. Mishler and I have been a team since 2014 and I truly feel this is the greatest job I have ever had!

I am originally from New York (my accent quickly gives it away) and I moved here in 1998 after getting married. I live right here in the Countryside neighborhood and see so many of the kids and families all the time!

My oldest daughter is a junior at Radford University and is studying to be a teacher.  My younger daughter is a freshman at Virginia Tech.  My final baby is my fur baby - Murphy. The kids will quickly learn all about my dog and his love of taking long walks.

I am looking forward to getting to know you and your children this year!
