Byers, Mike (Student Activities and Engagement Coordinator)

I am pleased to be beginning my 27th year in education and 16th year overall at Briar Woods High School.  I have worked for the Manassas, Stafford and Loudoun County Public School Systems throughout my career and have served as a head coach, head athletic trainer, assistant principal, principal, teacher and dean throughout my years in education. This year I will be taking over as the Student Engagement and Activities Coordinator for Briar Woods.  In this role, I will  work with student clubs and organizations, manage building use for clubs and external groups, plan the new student orientation and expo, work with all staff and students on remediation and recovery, and will serve as the main point of contact for attendance and the website.

I am excited for everything that this year will bring and look forward to work as a member of our school community throughout the upcoming months.
