Welcome to Mrs. Miller's Kindergarten Class!

Hello and welcome to Kindergarten!  My name is Mrs. Kirsten Miller and I am currently entering my 27th year as an elementary school teacher. Kindergarten is a wonderful, new, and exciting time for children and their families. Each year proves to be an exciting time for me as well. My family and I moved to Loudoun County, Virginia in 2006 to take advantage of the occupational and educational opportunities that Loudoun County offers.

I spent my first 11 years teaching first grade students in the Toledo Public School System in Ohio. My first 7 years with Loudoun County Public Schools, I taught at Sully Elementary in Sterling.  I was excited about moving to Ashburn Elementary as this was my daughter's elementary school (k-5) as well.  I love it here and I plan to stay!   I am a former graduate from the University of Toledo (Ohio) where I received a Bachelor of Education (1993) and a Masters of Education Degree (2000).  I also hold my reading specialist endorsement.

As a parent, I know how important your child's education is to you.  My goal is to create a safe, fun, and challenging learning environment for your child. I know together we will be able to achieve this goal, as I do every year!  I look forward to this new school year and meeting you and all my new awesome kindergartners!
Welcome to you and your family!  It's going to be a great year!
