Welcome to Mrs. Miller's Kindergarten Class!Hello and welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Mrs. Kirsten Miller and I am currently entering my 27th year as an elementary school teacher. Kindergarten is a wonderful, new, and exciting time for children and their families. Each year proves to be an exciting time for me as well. My family and I moved to Loudoun County, Virginia in 2006 to take advantage of the occupational and educational opportunities that Loudoun County offers.I spent my first 11 years teaching first grade students in the Toledo Public School System in Ohio. My first 7 years with Loudoun County Public Schools, I taught at Sully Elementary in Sterling. I was excited about moving to Ashburn Elementary as this was my daughter's elementary school (k-5) as well. I love it here and I plan to stay! I am a former graduate from the University of Toledo (Ohio) where I received a Bachelor of Education (1993) and a Masters of Education Degree (2000). I also hold my reading specialist endorsement. As a parent, I know how important your child's education is to you. My goal is to create a safe, fun, and challenging learning environment for your child. I know together we will be able to achieve this goal, as I do every year! I look forward to this new school year and meeting you and all my new awesome kindergartners!Welcome to you and your family! It's going to be a great year!
