    Teacher Biography

    This year will be Ms. Bestawrose's 15th year teaching with experience in both middle and high school English. She graduated with honors from Marymount University in 2008 with a BA in English. In 2012, Ms. Bestawrose graduated from George Mason University with an MFA in creative writing, where she concentrated in fiction. Prior to graduating from Mason, Ms. Bestawrose received honorable mention in the Dan Rudy Fiction Award for her short story "Going to the Cinema."  

    In addition to teaching various grade levels of English literature, language arts, and writing, Ms. Bestawrose has been a teacher mentor and an English department SALT at the middle school level. This is her fifth year at Freedom High School.
