Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Kathleen Jenkins

Hey-yo! Coach Jenkins here, I'm beginning my 13th year in education, my second year at Woodgrove. I teach 10th grade physical eduation and drivers education as well as outdoor education.  I recieved my teaching degree from Shepherd University; I'm certified in health and physical education K-12. I'm currently enrolled at the American College of Education where I am working toward my Master's degree in Health & Wellness Education.

I am an assistant cross country coach here at Woodgrove.  I'm a big runner and am getting more and more into ultrarunning.  I've run the JFK 50 miler twice and have goals to complete a 75K and 100 miler within the next 5 years.  I love trail running and the trail running community

I hail from the great state of Wisconsin - yes I love cheese! But even more than cheese I love my Green Bay Packers - GO PACK GO! I moved to Loudoun County when I was 10 years old and was a LCPS student myself for a number of years before moving back to Wisconsin to finish out high school.  Today, I love being outdoors! Fishing, hiking, kayaking, Geocaching, hunting....if it involves getting outside and being in nature - I'm all in! My dream is to hike the 2,000+ miles of the Appalachian Trail hopefully in the next 5 years.
