Kelly Taeschner is thrilled to begin her 20th year teaching and her eighth year in the K-2 program at Cedar Lane. Kelly received her undergraduate degree from James Madison University and has a Masters in Severe Disabilities from George Mason University. Prior to teaching in Loudoun County, Kelly taught special education in Fairfax County for twelve years. During her time in Fairfax, she worked with students with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities. Kelly specializes in modified curriculum, behavior supports, and assistive technology and looks forward to working with her K-2 students. When she is not at school, Kelly enjoys spending time with her children, Kayla and Ryan, and husband Matt. Most weekends you can find Kelly spending time outdoors with her family, enjoying a cheese platter and playing with her dogs.
