    Welcome Back Pumas!!!

I am so excited to be starting another great year at Pinebrook.    This will be my ninth year as a member of the hard working staff at Pinebrook and my sixth as a Resource Teacher.   This year I will get the opportunity to work with our wonderful 2nd grade students and teachers.   I'm excited to be moving to 2nd grade since it is where I started my career at Pinebrook 9 years ago.
I grew up in Williamsburg, Virginia with my mom, dad, and two brothers.  I received a Bachelor’s degree from Christopher Newport University and a Master’s degree in Special Education at George Mason University.  GO CNU CAPTAINS!!!  I have lived in Virginia most of my life except for 5 years in which I lived in Trumbull, CT.
When I’m not working, I enjoy cooking, reading, biking, hanging out with family and friends and watching football.   My favorite way to pass the time is sitting on the beach reading a good book. The Outer Banks is one of my favorite summer spots.  I hope to one day retire there where I can watch the sun set while the sand tickles my toes.    I enjoy going to Captials, Nationals or Redskins games.  You will find me rocking the "red" of our DC teams whenever we have a jersey day at school or after a win.
I was married in May 2017 and live with my husband Jerry in Aldie.  Between us, we have two dogs (Rico and Gobs), and four teenagers! I have two daughters named Sydney and Erin who are both graduates of Pinebrook.  Sydney will be a sophmore at JMU this fall and Erin will be a Senior at John Champe.   My stepdaughter, Sarah will also be a Senior at John Champe and my stepson, Josh will be a 9th grader at Willard Middle School.  Between Erin and Sarah you can usually find me in the stands at Champe watching Volleyball, Lacrosse, Field Hockey and Softball.   Make sure to say HI if you see me.
I look forward to meeting you and working together to make you the best Puma you can be.
