Frau Nunes was born and grew up in Solingen, Germany, In 2001, she moved to the United States. She had previously been an exchange student to the US.
    Ms. Nunes graduated with her Master's degree from the University of Utah in 2007. She is currently completing her doctoral degree at Shenandoah University and is writing her dissertation. 
    Ms. Nunes taught German at the University of Utah for two years and then taught German at Salt Lake Community College for a couple of semesters before moving to Virginia.
    In Virginia, she taught at Northern Virginia Community College and started teaching at a High School for Prince William County Public Schools.
    After four years with Prince William County, Ms Nunes made the move to Loudoun County Public Schools. This is her seventh year working at the middle school in Loudoun. She works on A days at Seneca Ridge Middle School and on B days at River Bend Middle School. She still continues to be Adjunct Faculty for NVCC and teaches Saturday school at a private German school in Maryland.
    Frau Nunes has two daughters who are also learning German.
