Frau Nunes was born and grew up in Solingen, Germany, In 2001, she moved to the United States. She had previously been an exchange student to the US.
Ms. Nunes graduated with her Master's degree from the University of Utah in 2007. She is currently completing her doctoral degree at Shenandoah University and is writing her dissertation.
Ms. Nunes taught German at the University of Utah for two years and then taught German at Salt Lake Community College for a couple of semesters before moving to Virginia.
In Virginia, she taught at Northern Virginia Community College and started teaching at a High School for Prince William County Public Schools.
After four years with Prince William County, Ms. Nunes made the move to Loudoun County Public Schools. She has been a German teacher at River Bend Middle School and Seneca Ridge Middle School since 2013. She works at River Bend Middle School on A days and is at Seneca Ridge Middle School on B days. She still continues to be Adjunct Faculty for NVCC and teaches Saturday school at a private German school in Maryland.
Frau Nunes has three daughters who are also learning German.
In her free time, she loves to travel. Where to? Germany, of course, and other European countries. She loves to read and loves to bake, which is something her family and neighbors tremendously appreciate. She also loves visiting the many museums in Washington, D.C.
