Mrs. Sara Kauffman

Mrs. Sara Kauffman is excited to be returning to Belmont Ridge for her eighth year as a 6th grade language arts teacher! Aside from her time spent living overseas in South Korea and Germany, she grew up in Loudoun County and is a proud graduate of Potomac Falls High School.

Mrs. Kauffman attended Radford University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Secondary Education: English, Grades 6-12. After graduation, she received a certification in Technical Writing. She is currently enrolled in Longwood University's Masters in Education program with a focus in School Librarianship.

When she’s not in the classroom, she enjoys reading YA books (and loves student recommendations), hand lettering and crafts, relaxing with family and friends, and going to concerts with her husband, Jordan. Mrs. Kauffman also has a very fat cat, Fiona, who demands much of her attention. She is very proud to serve as co-adviser of Battle of the Books with Mrs. Kindler!

Availability:
Mrs. Kauffman is available to work with students who need additional help on A Days during Period 1-2 or before school beginning at 7:50. Before school session requests must be made via email at least 24 hours in advance.
