I am Michelle Davis and very excited to start my eleventh year teaching third grade at Liberty Elementary.  I have taught previously at Hillside Elementary for five years in the Broadlands area of Virginia.  It will be an exciting new year meeting new families and students here at Liberty.

Let’s take a minute to know a little more about myself.  I am originally from a small town called Palmyra, New York which is 7 hours north of VA.  While in New York I was a swimmer and basketball player.  I swam competitively in high school and college for 2 years earning All-American in the butterfly.  I attended SUNY Geneseo, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and then continued on to St. John Fisher College where I earned a Masters of Science in Literacy Education.

I currently reside in South Riding with my husband and my daughter, who is 16, and will be a Junior at Freedom High School.  Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and our two cats, Puff and Oreo. My daughter is a horse enthusiast and we own a horse named Griffin.  We travel to many horse shows where my daughter competes in both hunter and jumper disciplines.

I am looking forward to another great year of amazing things.  GO EAGLES!!!!
